Haptics-e Update, Oct. 9, 1997

The Governing Board has been approved by a voto of 27 to 0 !

If you have not yet voted or confirmed your willingness to serve on the
Editorial board (see last message). Please do so now.

John Hollerbach is hard at work building the important bridge to IEEE
Robotics and Automation Society.  Anyone willing to work with John to
set up a link to one of the Psychological or Biologically Relevant
Societies?

Susan Lederman, with help from Vincent Hayward, is busy drafting a
governing consitition for the Journal.  Please send any thoughts you
might have in this area to her.

I have written a draft policy on intellectual property. This is
obviously of critical importance to the success of the Journal.  It
also represents a great opportunity to offer a better deal to authors
and readers than is possible with printed journals.  If you have any
interest in this area PLEASE check the draft and send me comments as
soon as possible (http://rcs.ee.washington.edu/CR/Haptics-e/IP.html).
