Subject: Haptics E-Journal Update

On April 30, I sent out an email requesting your input on the formation
of a new electronic journal of haptics research.  If you did not
receive the earlier email, your name has been added to this list at the
request of one of the earlier recipients.

The response has been great!  61% of the 46 people initially contacted
expressed their support and made a commitment to help.  A couple of
people have raised important issues and many have made other helpful
suggestions.  Many gave encouraging cheers like, "I'm glad you're
doing this!", "I think this is a great idea," etc. etc.

Now that my classes are over, I am returning my energy to this
project.  I am now in the process of collecting and sorting all of your
feedback into a www page which you will all be able look over.

In the mean time, I'm sending this reminder:  If you meant to reply to
the earlier questionnaire but didn't get around to it, please send me
your reply within the next few days so that I can get it into the
summary of feedback for distribution.
