Subject: Final Comment Period

At this week's Asilomar Haptics workshop, several people made
excellent suggestions on the Call for Papers and Intellectual 
Property Policy.  Updated drafts are now online
(see http://rcs.ee.washington.edu/CR/Haptics-e)

I propose the following schedule for finalizing Haptics-e(!)

Wed. Dec 17:	End of Final Comment Period.
		Submital of policies and CFP to 
		Governing Board for vote.

Wed. Dec 31:	Deadline for all votes by Governing Board

Jan. 1, 98:	Official release of the Call for Papers(!)


Although 2 weeks should be enough time, it does include major
holidays, so I will not consider the vote complete until 
at least 66% of the votes have been received.  This may result
in a delay of the release of the CFP.

Coming up for 1998:	Let's all submit and solicit high
quality papers for Haptics-e!
